Back with his 3rd volume, this week is Geminichxld, one of Atlanta’s most exciting producers. Always difficult to pin down, Geminichxld’s approach is playful and mischievous, pulling sounds from non-descript places, finding melody and texture where others can’t, and packaging them in a manner that is mind bending and unique.
An incredible amount of variety is contained here - pianos, guitars, strings, and synths are the building blocks, but are only the beginning - each piece transcends expectation and provides plenty of layers to dissect and tempos to explore (from 83 to 136bpm). Don’t sleep on this one.
