After finding global exposure through a highly-publicized collaboration with Taylor Swift, the Regent Park School of Music (RPSM) launches the next volume in the Parkscapes series featuring music created with Matthew Tavares - producer, songwriter, and former keyboardist for the acclaimed Toronto jazz combo BADBADNOTGOOD.
Parkscapes Vol. 2 is the result of a two-day session that saw Tavares teaming up with composer/producer Wesley Allen and students at the school that provides music education to children from Toronto’s high-priority neighbourhoods. Together, they created a new collection of music that is available through the Kingsway Music Library - a boutique sample library created and curated by Grammy Award-winning producer Frank Dukes.
These collections not only provide the students an opportunity to learn from and work with high-profile artists and producers, they also help raise money for the school. Every time the album is purchased, licensed, or sampled, a majority of these royalties go back to RPSM.
